Italy and Zambia:
Challenges and opportunities for cooperation in the Copperbelt Province mining area

The Embassy of Italy in Zambia, in collaboration with The European House - Ambrosetti, is pleased to invite you to participate in a round table discussion on business opportunities in the mining sector in Zambia, where the Copperbelt Province is one of the main copper-producing areas in Africa and the world.
Considering the national plan to increase copper production from 35,000 to 150,000 tonnes per year, the meeting aims to position the Italian “Country System” in the mining industry and related sectors of the supply chain, where Italian excellence can play a leading role. These include machinery, energy, rail transport and infrastructure, water supply, management of tailings dams, logistics, high-tech satellites and drones, and university cooperation.
The initiative will be held in Ndola (Zambia), on November 29, 2021 on the side-lines of the 8th Southern Africa Europe CEO Dialogue. It'll be organised in Ndola, in the presence of Zambian Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources Development, Richard Musukwa, and Glencore's top management.
The mode of participation, digital or physical, can be communicated to the organisers following pre-registration.
